Am I allowed to visit your meetings if I'm not a member of your group?
Yes, you are allowed to attend a meeting as a visitor.
What is the cost of membership?
The current cost of membership is currently set at £225 per annum. The aforementioned figure is reviewed annually.
What payment options do you provide?
Membership payments are usually accepted by bank transfer although in certain circumstances cheques may also be acceptable.
How much are guests charged for breakfast?
Members are charged £6 each for breakfast at the venue. This figure is partially subsidised by the group.
Should I reserve a place if I intend to visit the group on a specific date?
Yes, guests should reserve a place at a specific meeting so that we can arrange for the venue to cater for your breakfast.
Does the group have specific policies with regards to the code and conduct of members?
Members are expected to treat one another with respect, courtesy and integrity. Members are encouraged to attend meetings or to send a representative in their stead should they be unable to attend on a specific date. A copy of the Steel City Business policies document is available upon request and where applicable.
Does the group have a minimum attendance policy?
At this time there is no formal attendance policy, although members are encouraged to attend meetings or to send a representative in their stead should they be unable to attend.
If I have concerns or suggestions will my queries be listened to?
The group was founded on the principal that it shall be open, transparent and democratic in nature. If any member has any concerns, including but not limited to the actions or conduct of a fellow member, they can report that to any member of the committee and the issues shall be investigated in an objective and even-handed manner.
