A brief history of the group
Steel City Business was founded in 2014 when David Goodwin contacted a number of former networking colleagues and asked them whether or not they would like to be part of a new networking group. Seventeen people attended that initial, albeit very casual, gathering and it was agreed that a new networking group would subsequently be formed. Over a period of several months a number of ideas were taken from a number of those founder members, and others, and eventually a list of policies was created, a meeting format was agreed upon and a meeting script was written.
Eventually the group was formally launched, and here we are in our fourth year making strides to offer members unrivalled support and value for money. Our ethos can be summed up thus: We aim to provide support, education and lead generation for all of our members.
Our meetings are held once a fortnight at the Cafe′ / Bar in Nuffield Health in Sheffield. For more information please click on the relevant links in the menu above.
